We understand that every dog is an individual with their own wants and needs, and we do our best to accommodate them whenever possible.

We have the capacity for about ~10 dogs, but that number depends on activity levels, medical needs, size and personality of each dog accepted. If necessary, we have the ability to separate groups by size. To be considered, please fill out our initial intake form on the Application page.

The more detail the better- we want to get to know your dog!

River Valley Visits

If your pup is a good candidate, and you want them to be able to explore an incredible part of the outdoors with us, River Valley Visits are the perfect activity. While all dogs will have access to the outdoor spaces at the Bark-Inn, the sandy trails through the old growth trees of the River Valley recreational area offer a freeing, natural experience for our four legged friends.

To take part in excursions dogs need the leptospirosis vaccine, and have previous training or experience with long lines/group leads. Off leash pets who use an e-collar or similar devices will also be considered.

For a multitude of health and safety reasons we DO NOT enter the Minnesota River, even in the summer.
